It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Ciarán Murray, our work colleague and friend. As a mark of respect, we will be closed on Monday 12th October, 2026.

Ciarán worked for our company for over 40 years.

He delivered and collected machines in every corner of the country. This includes nearly every new Kobelco that we have sold. It is hard to believe that he won’t do another run.

Here's Ciarán handing the keys of AS Ballantine's SK270SRLC to Patrick Gallagher after delivering to Co. Donegal.

Ciarán will be deeply missed by all of us.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

CONSTRUCTION PLANT FITTER
We are looking to add to our Kobelco team again. This is a super for someone to start a career by learning a trade that is always in demand.

Construction plant fitters service, diagnose and resolve technical issues for mobile construction equipment.

Experience of machinery is an advantage though not absolutely necessary. It's more important to be interested and want to learn this trade. We like positive people who are good team players. We provide on the job training and you also learn on the scheduled training that is part of the apprenticeship.
