💯 Four Resident Engineers from Nicholas O'Dwyer are doing great work on the Drumconrath Wastewater Treatment Plant in Co. Meath. The Project is progressing well under competent supervision from Graham Reynolds, Carlos Hurtado, Steven Fagan and Calin A.

👌 Thanks for the great support from John McElwaine and Anton O’Rourke at Uisce Éireann Irish Water, Jaim Spear at TOBIN and Aidan McCarthy at AM Consulting Engineers.

The works involve upgrades to the existing plants, the construction of a new pumping well site and 5.8km of new pipework that will help deliver 1000m3/day of compliant potable water to the area. The ultimate objective of the works is to provide the community with safe, secure, reliable and sustainable potable water while ensuring that the Drumconrath WTP is removed from the Remedial Actions List (RAL).

With Nicholas O'Dwyer Ltd in the role of Construction Supervisor and Project Resident Engineers the progress is continuing nicely.

📌 We are proud to see the Trim Wastewater Treatment Plant (Co. Meath) is progressing so well under competent supervision from our very own Graham Reynolds, Carlos Hurtado, Steven Fagan and Calin A. and UE Anton O'Rourke, John McElwaine

💯 The plant is currently supplying a daily demand of 3,300 - 3,700 m3/day over 24 hours per day. This Contract requires that the plant be uprated to allow the maximum treatment of 6,000 m3/day (300 m3/h) over a 20-hour period with an immediate throughput requirement of 4,500m3/day (225 m3/h) over a 20-hour period.

With Nicholas O'Dwyer Ltd in the role of Construction Supervisor and Project Resident Engineers, the upgrades are progressing well.

👌 A massive mention to designers STANTEC and contractors Ward and Burke for doing great work on this Uisce Éireann Irish Water's project. Shoutout to RSK Group/ Nicholas O Dwyer for all their support.

Construction began in September 2025 and the site's progress can be seen below. We have hit all our major timelines in the last 9 months.

We've been able to welcome two NOD Graduate Engineers, Jenny Sparrow, Anastasia Kolitsida, on site for the past 4 months to learn experientially, go out to local schools and businesses, including Rowan Engineering Consultants, to explain the role of an engineer and even have school groups visiting the site for Engineer's Week. This is just the beginning of our journey to help make great engineers.
