We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Noel Kinsella and Ben Mitchell as Directors of Mitchell Macadam.

Noel joined Mitchell Macadam in 2008 as our Project Manager and has been an integral part of the company’s growth ever since. Over the past eighteen years, Noel’s excellent leadership skills, dedication, and work ethic have played a major role in shaping the business. He has successfully delivered numerous high-profile projects, including Citywest Business Campus, Dublin City reinstatement works, and multiple Dunnes Stores projects nationwide. Noel’s promotion to Director is a well-deserved recognition of his long-standing commitment and contribution to the company.

Ben rejoined the business full time in 2023 after completing his MSc in Business. Working closely with both Tom and Noel, Ben has taken the time to learn the ropes of the business and the construction industry as a whole. In his role as Project Estimator, Ben has already been involved in several key projects, including the UCD Future Tech Development, Mountpark Development, and Knocklyon Shopping Centre. His progression to Director reflects his strong work ethic, growing expertise, and future leadership potential.

Mitchell Macadam is proud to have completed resurfacing works on the Chapelizod Bypass for South Dublin County Council earlier this week.

Our team removed the old road surface using our milling machine, carried out a full sweep, applied a bitumen emulsion, and laid a new 50mm SMA 14 Polymer Modified Bitumen surface. We wrapped up the project with fresh line marking.

With the support of our traffic management partners, Nuzum Road Services, we delivered the job safely and efficiently in just two nights. Huge thanks to South Dublin CoCo for the opportunity, and a big shoutout to our crew for their outstanding work!

We’re proud to share our latest project at the Lidl Store in Maynooth, Co. Kildare on behalf of the McCallion Group and Lidl, where we recently completed resurfacing works with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation.

For the first time ever in a Lidl Ireland store, we utilised 70% Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) in the bio binders and base layers, significantly reducing the project’s carbon emissions and environmental impact. By reusing and recycling existing materials, we’re not only lowering waste but also leading the way toward greener construction practices across the country.

This milestone project marks a major step forward in how resurfacing can be carried out sustainably. Setting a new benchmark for future Lidl projects and wider commercial resurfacing works. We would like to thank Shay, Conor and the rest of the McCallion team for the continuous support and trust in us to complete these projects.

Mitchell Macadam is proud to share the successful completion of a resurfacing project for Thoval Properties at their new logistics park at Naas, Co. Kildare.

This resurfacing project included:

✔️ Planning off the existing road surface and disposing of all the waste in a licensed facility
✔️ Sweeping the entire area so it’s clean to work
✔️ Spraying a polymer modified bitumen emulsion prior to the resurfacing works
✔️ Laying and Compacting 45mm to 50mm of SMA 10 Industrial
