A Safer, Smarter Step Into Laser Welding

A new TRM 1.5 kW Fibre Laser Welding System has now been fully installed for a fabrication customer in Wokingham, complete with a fully interlocked protective enclosure.

For this type of work, the TRM 1.5 kW platform is a strong fit. It is designed for everyday fabrication across materials such as stainless steel and mild steel, with a water-cooled setup suited to consistent workshop use. The system also includes a single wire feeder as standard, helping give operators flexibility across a range of welding jobs.

The protective enclosure is just as important as the welder itself. TRM fibre laser welders are Class 4 laser systems, so a properly planned safety setup is essential. The enclosure helps create a controlled working area around the process, with external interlocks forming part of the wider safety system.

For the customer, that means the benefit of faster, cleaner welding with reduced heat input and less distortion, while operating within a much more controlled environment.

Two New Machines. One Big Step Forward for Slough and Maiden Sign Company

Slough and Maiden Sign Company have now had both of their new machines fully commissioned by the Mantech team: a Spartan 1313 CNC Router and a desktop CO₂ laser cutting and engraving machine.

It is a really versatile combination for a sign business. The Spartan 1313 gives them accurate CNC routing for panels, lettering, plastics, timber-based materials and general signmaking components, while the desktop CO₂ laser adds detailed cutting and engraving capability for smaller-format work, acrylics, personalised products and finer decorative jobs.

Large-Format Capability Without the Full Flatbed Footprint

Another Lasertech CO₂ Laser Cutting and Engraving System has now been loaded and dispatched, this time to a signmaker in Wigan.

The customer has chosen the Lasertech 10160 Pro, a strong option for businesses that need more working area than a compact CO₂ laser can offer, but do not need to step all the way up to one of our large-format flatbed systems.

With a generous 1000 x 1600 mm working area, the 10160 Pro is especially well suited to signmaking, display work, acrylic fabrication, engraving, decorative panels and other larger-format jobs where extra bed space makes day-to-day production much easier.
