Like many manufacturers, JPK Fencing is continuing to monitor changes across the steel and wider supply chain market.

In recent weeks, we have seen increased pressure on raw material availability, transport and energy costs. This is creating more movement around pricing and lead times than we would normally expect.

At JPK, we are working closely with our supply partners to manage these changes and continue delivering the quality, reliability, and service our customers expect.

Where possible, we will continue to absorb increases, but some price adjustments may be unavoidable in the short term. For clients, contractors, schools, clubs, and organisations planning fencing or perimeter security projects this year, early conversations are more important than ever.

Getting projects specified, quoted and scheduled ahead of time gives everyone better visibility, better planning, and more certainty around costs. As always, our focus remains on delivering high-quality fencing solutions with transparency, consistency and long-term value.

A school entrance should do more than mark a boundary.

It should create a strong first impression, improve day-to-day safety and give parents, staff and the wider school community confidence in the environment children are walking into each morning.

This recent project at Gaelscoil Donncha Rua, Shannon, Co. Clare brought all of that together. JPK completed a full perimeter and entrance fencing package for the school, including secure boundary fencing, controlled access points and a main frontage finish that is both practical and visually suited to a primary school setting.

From the main entrance through to the wider perimeter, this project was designed to deliver:
clear site definition
safer and more controlled access
durable, low-maintenance security
strong visibility around the school grounds
a clean, modern finish that complements the building

One of the standout elements in this project is the use of coloured vertical feature bars at the entrance and frontage areas. It gives the scheme a more welcoming and school-appropriate appearance while still maintaining the strength and purpose expected from a high-quality security installation.

For Boards of Management, projects like this are about more than fencing alone. They are about protecting the school site, managing access properly, supporting staff and parents and investing in infrastructure that will stand up to daily use for years to come.

For parents, it is the kind of work that may not always be noticed in detail, but it is felt immediately: a site that looks secure, organised, well cared for and fit for the children using it every day.

A very strong finished result here in Shannon and a project we were proud to complete.

Another strong addition to St Aidans GAA Club Co. Roscommon.

A new astro turf training pitch, fully enclosed with a 2.4m Sports Twin Wire Mesh system, topped with 2.6m hurling netting, designed to keep sessions flowing, safe, and fully contained.

Access was built with intent too, a combined cat and kitten gate, allowing both pedestrian and vehicle entry through one controlled point. No overcomplication. Just a setup that works.

The reality is, projects like this don’t get approved because they “look well.”
They get approved because they increase usage, reduce issues and deliver long-term value back to the club.

For sponsors, facilities like this create something just as important, visibility, association and presence within the community. If you’re involved in a club committee or planning upgrades this year, this is the level that’s being delivered now.
