Woodenbridge Golf Course established in 1884, was recently devastated by flooding by the Avoca River in February this year resulting in the irrigation plant room being completely submerged under 5 feet of water.

Situated beside Ireland’s oldest hotel Woodenbridge Hotel and Lodge established in 1608 in the stunning Vale of Avoca Co. Wicklow.

Temporary repairs to the old pumps were carried out by Byrne Electric Motors to ensure the greens could get sufficient water until the new pump set could be installed.

This week Byrne Electric Motors, supplied, dismantled, assembled and commissioned this Grundfos Hydro Multi E2 CRiE 20-7 pump set. The pump set will maintain 10bar pressure to the sprinkler heads over 9km of under ground pipe.

As a Grundfos service partner Byrne Electric Motors can undertake the full dismantling of the set without compromising the 2 year warranty. This gives peace of mind to our customer.

One of our AmTecs 75 kW 4 Pole IE4 motors leaving us this morning with a new insulated bearing. Supplied from stock and tuned around within the hour.

Not as tall or as historic as the great Ringsend Chimneys but these two Wolter GmbH twin contra flow fans will shift some volume of air.

What is a contra flow? Well in this case it’s two 4 kw fan motors connected together, one fan rotates clockwise and while the other fan rotates anti clockwise. This generates a high pressure, high volume air flow designed for a compact system.

A nice “little” order leaving Byrne Electric Motors at the end of the week. 60 of our AmTecs Ltd motors heading to a new customer. 30 of our 1.5 Kw IE3 4 Pole 3~ motors and 30 of our 2.2 Kw 2 Pole 1~ motors.

We won’t lie and say we had that volume on the shelf but we know AmTecs are more than well stocked to handle large quantities. It’s always great to partner with companies like AmTecs.

Our highlighted project for February is the second of our large aquatic projects.

Byrne Electric Motors successfully supplied new Grundfos NB pumps for Ireland’s largest aquatic centre The National Aquatic Centre based right beside us in Blanchardstown.

Home to Irish athletes and with the most state of the art facilities for hopefully Irish competitors hoping to bring Olympic gold back to Ireland 2028.

Each pump the was supplied was designed to cope with the harsh swimming pool environment and to drop in seamlessly to the existing pipework.

The motors supplied are IE4 efficient with insulated bearings. Each pump replacement will deliver energy savings for the customer.

Supplied and carefully stored away on site for install by the customer.

It’s been a ventilation week with AC and EC replacement EBM Papst and Ziehl Abegg heading to customers across Ireland.

As part of a one in one out policy in a data centre, Byrne Electric Motors supplied one of our AmTecs 75 kW 4 Pole IE4 motors for an AHU application.

An energy efficient motor with terminal box on the side, this is made possible due to the multi mount feature on this cast iron motor. The motor is also equipped with an insulated bearing to try mitigate bearing current.

The one in one out policy will ensure not only a spare on site but as this motor is installed the old motor will be sent to us for overhaul. A total of 7 of these motors will be overhauled.
