Elster Jeavons J42 meter service regulator with upco

The J42 is an angled type regulator designed for low pressure domestic meter applications with inlet pressures up to 350mb, with full lockup capability and is available with or without integral under pressure cut off (UPCO).

It can be mounted in either a vertical or horizontal orientation, and is suitable for use with natural, liquid petroleum and manufactured gases.

PRESSURE:
Maximum Inlet Pressure – 350mb
Nominal Outlet Pressure – 21mb
Cut Off Pressure – 12mb ± 2.5mb
(Other outlet pressure are available upon request)
The outlet pressure, set at the factory at 21mb, can be easily adjusted if necessary, between 19mb and 24.5mb.

The J42 is a sealed unit and requires no servicing.

Product description
The handheld small laser methane leak detector uses TDLAS (laser spectroscopy) technology to quantitatively measure the methane gas concentration in the target area through the absorption of specific wavelength laser by methane gas, and quickly monitor the methane gas concentration in the area. The product has the characteristics of precise selectivity, high sensitivity, high precision, low false alarm rate, strong anti-interference, and easy operation for methane gas monitoring. The handheld instrument can be carried by inspection personnel, which provides great convenience for the safety inspection work and can flexibly and dynamically detect the methane concentration in the inspection area.

Working principle
The handheld small laser methane leak detector adopts tunable laser spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology, which uses the characteristic absorption principle of a specific wavelength laser when irradiating characteristic gases. It controls, analyzes and calculates the distribution between the device and the target through the microcontroller control circuit. The characteristic gas methane concentration between the point paths, and its actual measured value is output through the feedback circuit.

This equipment can accurately measure and analyze characteristic gases truly and effectively without being interfered by other gas components. That is to say, the device can only perform testing functions for methane gas, and will not react to other gases such as ethane, propane, water gas, etc.

Designed for installation in liquid transfer lines at LP-Gas or Anhydrous Ammonia bulk plants to provide for quick shut-off of liquid or v***r flow in the event of an accidental pull-away, line break, or hose rupture.

Features
- Fusible Element is located in the thermal fuse assembly which acts at the latch open and close trigger. When exposed to fire, the element melts at 212 degrees F. allowing the shaft to return to the closed position.
- Valve can be opened by use of operating lever, if a pneumatic actuator is used it will open with the actuator.
- Valve can be closed by remote cable or pneumatic actuator.
- Valve can be closed by simply pushing the operating lever down, it is not necessary to trip the close trigger.
- Seat Disc is retained by a metal seat to minimize leakage in case direct fire impingement.
- Straight through design allows for a liquid flow of 230 GPM (LPG) with only a 1 psig drop. (6016)
- Quick closing regardless if the pump is running or not.

Sturdy Rugged Construction:
- Will withstand hydraulic shock of sudden closings, piping strains, and temperature variations.
- Valve has only two moving parts, stem and close/thermal trigger.
- 6016 is UL listed for use in LP-Gas as an emergency and operating shut-off valve.
- Stem seals are spring loaded for leak free performance at low temperatures/pressures.
