Since 2018, our company has proudly served as the fire services system installation contractor for the Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel project. We were responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and coordination of all fire services systems. As of the end of 2024, we are pleased to announce the successful completion of all works, along with the final inspections approved by the Hong Kong Fire Services Department.

This project is recognised as one of Hong Kong’s top ten infrastructure developments. It comprises a dual two-lane carriageway approximately 3.8 kilometres long, connecting Po Shun Road in Tseung Kwan O in the east with the proposed Trunk Road T2 in the Kai Tak Development in the west. Around 2.2 kilometres of the route is tunnelled. The tunnel not only addresses the increasing transport needs of Tseung Kwan O, but also forms part of Route 6 – a major east-west expressway linking West Kowloon with Tseung Kwan O via the Trunk Road T2 and the Central Kowloon Route.

The project was delivered in phases, with the main tunnel officially opened to traffic in late 2022. Subsequent completion of electrical and mechanical buildings, along with associated fire protection systems, followed thereafter. Spanning the most challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic between 2019 and 2022, the project demanded a high level of technical expertise and coordination, making it one of the most complex undertakings for our team.

The successful completion of this long-term and technically demanding project would not have been possible without the professionalism, perseverance, and teamwork of our entire company. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr Face Wu and Mr Ray Ip for their outstanding leadership and dedication throughout the project, as well as to all colleagues and project partners for their invaluable contributions.

Our company was responsible for the fire services system installation at the Kai Tak 4C construction site, with Hip Hing Construction serving as the main contractor. We are pleased to announce that the project successfully passed the final inspection by the Fire Services Department at the end of 2024. As a large-scale development, the project faced significant challenges, including a serious industrial accident during construction. Nevertheless, thanks to the professionalism and commitment of our team, all fire services works were completed within a reasonable timeframe.

Throughout 2024, our company managed multiple concurrent fire services projects and inspections. Despite the demanding schedule, our team demonstrated exceptional coordination, professionalism, and dedication—ensuring that every project progressed smoothly and met high-quality standards.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the REC team for their professional collaboration and full support throughout the process. It was through the collective effort and cooperation of all parties involved that this project was brought to successful completion.

In early 2024, our company successfully completed the public subsidised housing project in Hung Shui Kiu for the Hong Kong Housing Society. The main contractor for the project was Yau Lee Construction. This development marked the Housing Society’s first subsidised sale flats project constructed using the Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) method — a new challenge and valuable learning experience for us.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our in-house team based in Mainland China, who played a crucial role in the fabrication and installation of the MiC fire service systems. Through close coordination and efficient teamwork between our local and Mainland teams, we were able to complete all fire service installations on schedule and pass the Fire Services Department inspection on time.

This achievement stands as a testament to the strength of our cross-regional collaboration and lays a solid foundation for the wider application of MiC construction in Hong Kong.

At the beginning of 2023, our company undertook a public housing project at Anderson Road, and by early 2025, we successfully completed the inspection by the Fire Services Department.

Given the growing demand for public housing in Hong Kong, this project held significant importance. The site, located on a former quarry, posed considerable technical challenges due to extremely hard ground conditions, leading to multiple delays during construction.

Despite the many difficulties and the fact that the handover deadline could not be extended, our team demonstrated unwavering perseverance, professionalism, and ex*****on. With their collective efforts, we managed to complete the fire services installation on schedule, contributing to the timely delivery of urgently needed homes for the public.

Our company successfully completed the residential development project above Ho Man Tin MTR Station between 2024 and 2025. The project was undertaken by Gammon Construction and required two separate stages of Fire Service Inspection. As the inspections for Phase 1 and Phase 2 were scheduled just one month apart, and with construction progress falling behind expectations, the overlapping timelines created significant challenges.

Despite tight resources, our team rose to the occasion and, through dedication and careful planning, managed to overcome the difficulties and complete the project successfully.
