Gulf Engineering Services (Guyana) Inc. promotes the improvement of its Guyanese personnel by encouraging training and in building awareness and capabilities of individuals to fill the needs of the industry. Our plan is to reach out to the communities in our region. It is our intention to foster and grow the enthusiasm of the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary students into building their competencies to be marketable in the Oil and Gas Industry.

On April 29th, 2026 we hosted students from University of Guyana Engineering Society (UGES) & Guyana Industrial Training Centre (GITC) for an “Open-Day” forum. It is always a pleasure to showcase our knowledge by imparting it to others. Special thanks to the students for their interest and enthusiasm shown and to their coordinators.

The event included a video on Oil & Gas extraction, Technical presentation on GESGI’s products and services, Q&A supported by our in-house Engineer, Mr. Amos Battoo and Contracts Manager, Mrs. Rohini Kallicharan and a facility ‘walk through’ where students got first hand views on CNC threading, Torque-Turn, NDT and Calibration.

Optimizing local content in our activities by showcasing the capabilities of local suppliers is one of the key elements to the success of the business and the operational goals of Gulf Engineering Services (Guyana) Inc.

Our interest at all times is to satisfy the nationally acceptable value that could be added to and created in the Guyanese economy by using local human, natural resources and suppliers in the services we render to the operators and their sub-contractors in the Guyana oil and gas industry.
We are committed to fostering stronger partnerships with businesses that deliver quality products and services aligned with applicable standards and industry best practices.

On April 29th, 2026, we hosted our Supplier Engagement Forum. We were pleased with the interest shown by the attending Suppliers and the collaboration effort that was made. Special thanks to the Local Content Secretariat’s office for their representation in observing the forum. GESGI’s representatives and members of staff hosted and built relationships with the Local Suppliers. The event included a presentation of GESGI’s P2P process, a visit in the facility and a break-out session for collaboration.
