The Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) held a meeting with the leadership of the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA S.A. – COSCO SHIPPING) to discuss the port’s investment strategy and its role in strengthening the local economy and business community.

PCCI President Mr Vasilis Korkidis led the discussion alongside key representatives of the Chamber, including Mr Konstantinos Koronakis, CEO of KORONAKIS Group and President of the Industrial Department of the PCCI. Representing PPA S.A., Deputy CEO Mr Angelos Karakostas and Deputy Head of Marketing and Quality Control Mr Athanasios Karlis joined the discussion, which centred on ensuring that port investments contribute to Piraeus’ economic development, strengthen local entrepreneurship, and support a fair and competitive business environment.

The dialogue also laid the groundwork for a more structured and lasting partnership between the PCCI and PPA S.A., with the preparation and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) – the next step towards establishing a formal framework for cooperation and supporting the long-term development of Piraeus and its business community.
