The KORONAKIS Group was delighted to once again support and contribute to the Efkranti Awards 2026, an evening dedicated to celebrating progress, innovation, and social responsibility across the Greek maritime community.

Held on 28 May, the 18th Efkranti Awards carried special significance as they coincided with the 95th anniversary of Naftika Chronika, a publication that has been documenting and promoting the evolution of Greek shipping since 1931.

With great honour, the KORONAKIS Group had the privilege of presenting the β€œContribution to Maritime Education” Award. The award was presented by Mrs Eleni Koronaki, Managing Director of the KORONAKIS Group and Honorary Vice President of the PCCI, to Mrs Eleni Martinou on behalf of the Athina I. Martinou Foundation, in recognition of its consistent and impactful contribution to maritime education, its commitment to providing equal opportunities for young people pursuing careers at sea, and its ongoing efforts to promote Greece’s maritime heritage while carrying forward the vision of Athina I. Martinou.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all this year’s nominees and award recipients for their remarkable contributions to the maritime sector, and our warmest wishes to Naftika Chronika on its 95th anniversary.
