The ICON fins were not born overnight. They were the result of relentless research, design, prototyping, and testing. The goal was clear: to create the first carbon fins that deliver uncompromising performance while remaining comfortable to wear.

The development of the ICON foot pockets became a project of its own. We began with deep research into materials, experimenting with elastomers, composites, and structural reinforcements until we found the perfect balance. Every element, from the instep ring to the silicone cushions, was rethought from the ground up. These components had to perform at full capacity while staying comfortable enough for hours of training, a challenge that required countless iterations.

The blade itself became a laboratory of innovation. Its tapering geometry was paired with unique flaps, a one-of-a-kind design that fine-tunes water flow and efficiency at depth. Prototype after prototype was tested, evaluated, and refined by athletes until every detail reached its highest potential.

What began as a question, can we design a fin that is both competition-ready and truly wearable, became ICON. A project that merged advanced materials research with bold design thinking, resulting in a flagship fin that changes what freedivers can expect from their gear.

For years, freedivers faced a trade-off: competition-grade foot pockets that delivered exceptional power transfer but sacrificed comfort, or comfortable foot pockets that could not perform at the highest level. With ICON, we set out to change that.

After four years of research, development and testing, we created an adaptive foot pocket engineered for both competition and long hours of training.

At its core, Zero Loss technology creates a direct connection between foot and blade, maximizing energy transfer and responsiveness throughout the kick cycle.

Power Lock rings allow divers to adjust pressure across the bridge of the foot. Choose the flexible black ring for training and comfort, or the extra-stiff white ring for maximum responsiveness and power transfer.

Adaptive Fit silicone cushions adjust heel retention and internal volume, creating a more precise fit, reducing unwanted movement and helping divers who fall between sizes.

Hydro Core manages water flow through the center of the foot pocket, reducing turbulence and stabilizing the kick.

ICON’s compact side flaps improve stability and water release without interfering with the blade’s natural flex, while the blade extends deep into the foot pocket, reaching the beginning of the open heel to create a unified structure with immediate feedback and exceptional efficiency.
