I was reflecting on Matthew 14:22–34, and something stood out to me in a powerful way.

After Jesus fed the five thousand, He sent His disciples ahead of Him to Gennesaret. Obediently, they took the lead doing exactly what He asked. Yet along the way, they found themselves in the middle of a violent storm. The wind was against them. The waves were strong. Fear took over.

What strikes me is this: they were in the storm while obeying Jesus, not because they disobeyed Him.

Then, in the middle of the chaos, Jesus came walking toward them on the water. At first, they were terrified. They couldn’t recognize Him through the mist, the wind, and the noise of the storm. But when Jesus spoke, everything changed.

Peter, bold yet human like us all, said, “Lord, if it is You, tell me to come to You on the water.” And Jesus said one word: “Come.”

Peter stepped out in faith. As long as his eyes were fixed on Jesus, he walked on the impossible. But the moment he shifted his focus to the storm to the wind, the fear, the reality around him, he began to sink. And in that sinking moment, Peter prayed one of the shortest but most shortest powerful prayers ever spoken in the Bible : “Jesus, save me.”

Immediately, Jesus reached out His hand and saved him.

What comforts me most is not just that Jesus saved Peter but that the story didn’t end in the storm. The Bible says they got into the boat and crossed over to Gennesaret. The destination Jesus promised them, they eventually reached.

This reminds me that:
• Storms don’t mean Jesus is absent
• Fear doesn’t cancel God’s promise
• Weak faith doesn’t disqualify us from being saved
• And even when we sink, Jesus is close enough to reach us

If you’re in a storm right now; emotionally, spiritually, financially, or physically, keep your eyes on Jesus. The waves may be loud, but His voice is louder. Trust Him, even when the mist makes it hard to see.

You will cross over. The storm will not have the final say.
Jesus will get you to the other side.

Because the truth is…
many people are quietly fighting battles they don’t talk about. 💔

Some are smiling outside but exhausted inside. Some are ignoring symptoms because “they’ll be fine.” Some are so busy taking care of everybody else that they’ve forgotten themselves. 😭

Please rest when your body is begging for rest. Drink water. Eat properly. Go for checkups. Sleep. Breathe.
Slow down sometimes. ❤️
Your body is not a machine. Even phones with 100% battery still need charging again. 🔋🥺

And please… stop waiting until sickness becomes serious before taking your health seriously. 💔

Health is one of those things people ignore until they lose it.
No amount of money, beauty, relationship, or success feels enjoyable when your body is constantly suffering. 😔

So this is your reminder today: 📍 take your drugs properly 📍 stop skipping meals 📍 rest small 📍 check on yourself too.

Because you matter. ❤️

Bad thoughts will come. Negative people will appear. Difficult seasons will arrive. You cannot prevent any of it. But you can decide how long it stays. The bird flies over. That is life. The bird builds a nest. That is a choice you made. Not everything that comes to you deserves to stay with you. Some things are passing. Let them pass. Stop giving permanent residence to temporary problems.

Not everything that arrives in your life deserves to stay there.
