It engages 2 Teams of 7 Players each who have acquired instructions of the game in their personalities and via sports culture uses sports techniques, mechanics of the game, moments & range of motions to account storytelling Commentary in relation to the acquired knowledge in the personalities. ceived documents of registration under the laws of Republic of Ghana (copyright office) in the year 2014. The Sport game was born out of the need to research into the emerging trend of lifestyle where people are becoming more and more innovative in every sphere of influence and discovering new ways of doing things. Moreover, sport is part of life that can neither be left static nor cut off. So, we saw the need to imbue sports game with more benefits for both player and audiences and thus, reinventing a sport game such that it can serve more purposes; blending sports with culture, edutainment, business, inspiration. And here WaoSports is!

On 4th January 2026, WAO Sport organized a special game in honour of Hon. Pious Ali at the Tesano Baptist Church Basketball Court.

The game served as a practical, on-field demonstration of WAO Sport, showcasing its gameplay structure, team dynamics, and innovation in a live setting. It provided an opportunity to experience WAO beyond concept—highlighting its potential as a structured, scalable, and engaging team sport.

We were also honoured by the presence of Mr. Gimbala, a staff member of the NBA team, San Antonio, who attended alongside Hon. Pious Ali. Their engagement and observations added valuable perspective as WAO continues its journey toward global recognition.

We appreciate the time, interest, and encouragement shared, and we remain committed to building WAO Sport as a platform for youth development, innovation, and international collaboration.

Honoured to engage in a strategic conversation with Councilor Pious Ali, a Ghanaian-American and Councilor-at-Large in the United States.

The meeting marked an important step for Project WAO. Councilor Ali has expressed his willingness to support WAO Sport by opening doors through his networks and connections, reinforcing our vision of building WAO into a globally recognized, technology-driven sport.

WAO Sport was created to drive youth development, innovation, job creation, and economic growth through sports, and partnerships like this strengthen our pathway from Ghana to the global stage.

We are grateful for the confidence, insight, and encouragement, and we look forward to translating conversations into impact.

WAO is a multiple scoring hand-controlled sport played on a spherical pitch, and thrives on technology. It can be played with a maximum of 2 balls. The objective of the sport is to score points in 4 scoring areas, and end with a high percentage sum. Be our guest on Saturday, July 19, 2025 @ TBC Court for an exhibition game. ⏰8:30AM Sharp!

WORKOUT
WORKOUT: You score points in your own Workout area by entering with ball. The time you stay in with ball is counted as point. At least one foot must be in the Workout area before it is valid. Workout determines 30% of total score

KINGDOM
KINGDOM: You score points by invading your opponent's KINGDOM area with ball and bounce. At least one foot must be in the Kingdom area before it is valid. Each bounce per second is 1 point. Kingdom determines 30% of total score.

OBJECTIVE / SCORING
The objective of the sport is to score points in four scoring areas, and end with a high
percentage sum. The scoring areas are: Kingdom, Workout, Oval-Crown and Judges.

START TIPOFF
Each player has a starting position. Each team starts with one ball in Kingdom area, and upon start whistle the ball shall be passed to Hi-Court area (left or right). Every part of the pitch is playable by all players, and any Player can score points anywhere with any ball, teams do not own balls they start with.

Handle and control ball by bouncing, dribbling, passing, and displaying skills or movement in any direction. If one player possesses two balls control balls by alternating bounce.

LET’S PLAY WAO

GOALPOSTS

Each Team has 2 OvalCrowns to defend from opposing Team scoring and 2 others to score against the opposing Team. Each Oval Crown has a Concave-roof support. A regular goal is 1 point, except it is scored by way of Sacrifice or Goal-Setting then it merits those rewards.
GoalSetting determines 30% of total score in a game
