A New Chapter for Engineering in Ghana Begins!
The Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) has just held its first-ever Town Hall Meeting and it was nothing short of transformational.
For the first time, engineers, stakeholders, and leaders across the country came together in one open, transparent platform to ask hard questions, challenge old systems, and shape bold new ideas for Ghana’s development.
Civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and emerging-field engineers all showed up both in person and online proving that engineering is the heartbeat of national progress.
The discussions were powerful and far-reaching: infrastructure & safety standards, innovation and climate resilience, professional development & membership welfare, strategic partnerships with sister professional bodies, collaboration for Ghana’s industrialization and growth
The energy in the room was unmistakable. Engineers didn’t just attend, they engaged, contributed, and charted a new future.
Today, we didn’t only witness history. We made it. Said the president of GhIE, Ing Ludwing Annang Hesse. He added. “Our Institution is as good as the quality of your participation in its activities”
