„ენერგომომარაგების მდგრადობის და ფინანსური გაჯანსაღების“(ESRFRP) პროექტის ფარგლებში, მსოფლიო ბანკის მისიის წარმომადგენლები სსე-ის თანამშრომლებთან ერთად ქვესადგურს „წყალტუბო 500“ ესტუმრნენ და ქვესადგურის მიმდინარე სამუშაოები შეაფასეს.
„საქართველოს სახელმწიფო ელექტროსისტემა“ ქვეყნის ენერგეტიკული ქსელის განვითარებისთვის სტრატეგიულად მნიშვნელოვანი ქვესადგურის „წყალტუბო 500“ მშენებლობას მსოფლიო ბანკის ფინანსური მხარდაჭერით, 2022 წლიდან ახორციელებს. ქვესადგურის სამშენებლო და ძირითადი მოწყობილობების სამონტაჟო სამუშაოები უკვე დასრულებულია. ამ ეტაპზე მიმდინარეობს მოწყობილობების საბოლოო ტესტირება.
პროექტის დასრულების შედეგად, მნიშვნელოვნად გაძლიერდება მაღალი ძაბვის გადამცემი ქსელი, შესაძლებელი გახდება ახალი ჰესების საქართველოს ენერგოსისტემასთან დაკავშირება, რასაც მოჰყვება რეგიონული ინფრასტრუქტურის გამტარუნარიანობის ზრდა და ქვეყნის ელექტროენერგიის საექსპორტო და სატრანზიტო პოტენციალის მაქსიმალურად ათვისება.
