Proper autumn morning in York today. Blue sky, sun’s out, bit of a nip in the air 🍂

Loads going on around the city, and if you’re after something to do this afternoon, the St Nicks Local Nature Reserve Autumn Fayre is on from 1 till 5 at the nature reserve on Rawdon Avenue. Live music, apple pressing, stalls, food and drink, and it’s free to get in. We’re supporting it this year and it’s always a good one.

We’re open as usual on Gillygate, so pop in if you’re passing.

If you’ve ever hovered outside wondering whether you can bring your dog in, you can! Well-behaved pets are very welcome any time, and we’re always happy to say hello and provide the treats 🐶

Sorry, we're closed today (Sunday) due to staff availability. Apologies for any inconvenience!

On the bright side, the shop is looking rather resplendent in its new green! New signage coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled. 🌿

Those of you who have visited HEIMA will likely have met Esme.

The person to ask about tools, materials, making things, fixing things - pretty much anything craft-based. Furniture maker and restorer when she’s not at HEIMA.

And now, thankfully, very much part of the furniture at HEIMA too. We’re lucky to have you, Esme 🙏
