Here is another nearly finished knife. A very mean looking Tanto style tactical blade with 550 paracord wrap handle.

I love the lines in this one myself and it feels great in the hand.
The grip has a base layer of bright orange paracord with a contrasing over layer of army green.
290mm end to end.
Blade section is 155mm long by 36mm wide and 3mm across the spine and tang.

Will definately post more pictures of this one when finished!

Meet: The Forester

It's got a bit of cleaning up to do on the edge but I just wanted to share this little buddy with you all.
A very sturdy, all-purpous bushcraft and foresting knife made from tempered O1 tool steel featuring a bright orange 550 paracord wrap handle so you won't lose this fella in the bush.
Roughly 230mm from end to end. Blade is 105mm by 30mm wide and is 3mm thick at the spine and tang

A little project we've just completed.
The client wanted this boring 2nd hand armour turned into bad ass, battle-worn orc armour.

What we did was open up the arm holes for freedom of movement and tailoring it to fit his torso as it was about 13cm(5") to wide for him.
We removed the front skirt and gave the front bottom some shape.
Next we added cuts, grooves and dents to both halves and riveted a series of plates to the back.
Then we mixed a copper-infused acid solution and sprayed the whole armour and left over night.
Next the acid was neutralised and cleaned off. An industrial grade clear-coat sealer was applied over the rusted finish and leather boarder added around the arm holes.

Should hopefully have some pictures of the client in full costume wearing the armour after his next event at the end of May.

Now taking orders for helmets!

Made in our shop, right here in the UK.
These helmets meet safety requirements of most UK reenactment societies, such as "The Vikings".
This helmet is made from 4 panels which are hand rivited to steel bands(spangens) with a strong nasal guard.

It comes with an adjustable leather cradle lining and a chin strap with a buckle to fasten.

It has a satin-brushed, hammered finish.

We've started making helmets at Wolfdale Forge!

This is a work in progress shot of a viking helmet we are building, lining, chin strap and spectacles(or nasal) yet to be added.

This helmet is completely hand beaten with no welding at all. It's fitted with four panels which are hand rivited in place.
It will be left with a satin-brushed hammered finish.
