⚡ Keeping the power on during essential upgrades

We recently supplied two 125kVA synchronised generators to provide temporary power while Northern Powergrid carried out an upgrade to the site’s incoming electrical supply over two days.

The synchronised setup provided a reliable temporary power solution, allowing the site to remain operational throughout the works.

Another job where careful planning and reliable equipment kept disruption to a minimum. ⚡

A big thanks to our customer for sending us this fantastic photo of four of our 125kVA generators running in sync on site in North Wales. ⚡

With all four sets synchronised, this setup provides up to 500kVA of flexible, reliable power, with the added resilience of multiple generators working together.

⚡ Generator Replacement & Right-Sizing ⚡

We recently replaced this 23-year-old 250kVA generator with a brand-new 150kVA unit.

After more than two decades of service, the existing generator had served the site well, but reliability was beginning to decline and the time had come for replacement.

Rather than simply replacing it like-for-like, we carried out a full assessment of the building’s power requirements. This established that a 150kVA generator was a much more appropriate size for the actual load, allowing us to specify the right machine for the job rather than installing unnecessary capacity.

The project included removal of the existing generator, delivery and positioning of the new set, installation and commissioning to leave the customer with a modern, reliable and correctly sized standby power solution.

🚐 Another new addition to the fleet! 🚐

Our brand-new MAN 4x4 service van has arrived and is set to strengthen our expanding mobile service engineering team.

It’s currently awaiting signwriting and a full fit-out before heading out on the road, where it will support both our hire fleet and our customers’ own generators with servicing, maintenance and emergency breakdown response.

We chose the 4x4 model so our engineers can confidently access even the most challenging sites, whatever the conditions. 💪
