We have been in operation since 2011 and serve customers across a range of industries including aerospace, oil and gas, motorsport, packaging, medical and pharmaceutical. With our suite of CNC mills, lathes and grinders we can create a one-off prototype component or run a large batch to an exceptional stan

dard of finish and accuracy. Using our shadowgraph and CNC CMM machines it is possible to measure and reverse engineer a product from a sample provided. We can also produce a component from your supplied CAD drawing or design from scratch in-house. Our management team at PDQ are avid motorsport enthusiasts and regularly create products for motorcycle racing teams, individuals and Championships. We manufacturer components as a trusted sub-contractor for Ducati TriOptions suppliers and GP Originals two-stroke specific race accessories. In addition to modern CNC machinery we offer hand-finishing services, welding, hardening, stress releaving and a range of surface treatments. Sound on! We’re all counting down the days until we can relax at Christmas. Time to make sure that all your presents (and projects) have been delivered in quick time. We’ll be closed 24th, 26th December and 1st, 2nd January with limited availability during the days in between. PDQ Precision will be back to full capacity on the 5th January.

Our 5-Axis CNC vertical machining centre made light work of the GP Originals trophies we highlighted last week. These curvaceous 6082 T6 aluminium shapes utilised the robotic arm to automate the tool changes. Cutting the tricky angles and tapping holes all in one visit.

The 2024 motorcycle racing season is now complete and we have another suite of stunning bespoke trophies made for GP Originals in collaboration with designer (and competitor) Sian at Spyre.ltd.uk
The complete set of nine custom awards were presented across three classes – 250, 350 and Masters with 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each. The trophies must be different heights to distinguish the finishing position of each competitor, and of course they need to be highly personalised. We used four of our in-house machines to engineer the flowing shapes, slanted top and fine engraving.

Breaking news… we can now reveal that one of our recent innovative international projects has now been officially launched. Commissioned by BAE Systems Australia and Supacat, PDQ Precision worked on the design and manufacture of critical drive module components used in the new autonomous ground vehicle, the Atlas CCV. This Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) is highly adaptable both on- and off-road, it’s speed and mobility enable it to be deployed as a standalone combat vehicle or in support of a larger infantry force of battle tanks and crewed land vehicles.

Our design team contributed innovative solutions in collaboration with Supacat before our engineers began the manufacture – all delivered to the exacting standards required for a project such as this. Trust, integrity and data security are key for our customers – with recent investment in cybersecurity accreditation Cyber Essentials Plus, we are able to take on new technology, military and government focussed contracts.
