We're pleased to announce the commencement of our latest project at Hampton & Richmond Borough FC. ⚽

With roots dating back to 1921, Hampton & Richmond Borough FC has been a fixture of non-league football for over a century, and we're delighted to be supporting the club's latest investment in its future.

The project will see the transformation of the club's existing natural grass stadium pitch into a modern 3G synthetic playing surface, providing a high-quality facility that will increase capacity, enhance year-round playability, and support the club's long-term ambitions. 🌱

Works are now underway, and we'll be sharing regular updates as the project progresses.

We're excited to play our part in delivering a facility that will benefit the club, its players, and the wider community for years to come, and we look forward to helping Hampton & Richmond Borough FC take another step forward both on and off the pitch as they prepare for the 2026/27 National League South campaign.

Swipe to see Pure Padel come to life 🎾 →

These progress shots from the delivery of the Pure Padel facility at Shrewsbury School showcase the process involved in bringing a state-of-the-art outdoor padel facility to life.

The images capture the transformation of the site from the early groundworks and structural installation works, through to paving and the completed courts and associated facilities. The finished development provides new Padel courts alongside supporting external works, further enhancing the school’s sporting provision.

As part of our continued investment in improving efficiency and maintaining high standards across our projects, we’ve recently added a new Turf Tank line marker to our equipment fleet. 🚜

Recently put to work at Bramber Primary School, the new addition was used to accurately mark out a combination of athletics and rounders lines, delivering a clean and precise finish across the site.

Technology and equipment developments like this help streamline the line marking process, improving efficiency on site and allowing our team to dedicate more time and attention to the wider details of each project.

🏗️ Project Completion | The James Hornsby School 3G Pitch Resurface

We are delighted to confirm the successful completion of the 3G pitch resurface project at The James Hornsby School, Basildon.

The scheme involved the full uplift and recycling of the existing synthetic surface, detailed inspection and preparation of the underlying base, and the installation of a new TigerTurf Quantum 50 3G playing surface. The works were completed alongside new multi-format football line markings and replacement perimeter kickboards to enhance both playability and durability across the facility.

The completed facility will provide the school and the wider community with a high-quality, durable playing surface designed to support both day-to-day curriculum use and grassroots football for years to come.

The final brushing and finishing works were completed shortly after these images were taken to ensure the facility was fully prepared and ready for use. A fantastic project to be involved in and another quality facility successfully delivered by the team. 🤝

Pure Padel 🎾

The Pure Padel facility at Shrewsbury School is ready!
This fantastic new facility provides a modern, high-quality space for both recreational and structured sport. The courts have been surfaced with Polytan’s Lykold Padel Classic system, delivering a professional finish in line with Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) standards.

The project also included tarmac paving for improved access, bench seating for players and spectators, and a dedicated storage shed to support the ongoing use of the facility. Final landscaping works will be completed separately by the school as part of their wider site plans.

Building on our previous delivery of a full-size FIFA Quality 3G pitch and a full-size FIH-accredited hockey pitch, this development further enhances the school’s already impressive sporting provision and reflects the strong ongoing partnership between Blakedown Sport and Play and Shrewsbury School.

We look forward to seeing the school produce some future padel stars!

Promotion for Hanworth Villa! ⚽
They have done it! Congratulations to Hanworth Villa FC on a fantastic achievement—promotion from the Isthmian League South Central Division to the Isthmian League Premier Division, stepping into Step 3 of the English football pyramid. A brilliant 2–0 victory over Westfield FC sealed the moment—fully deserved after an outstanding season.

As proud main sponsors, it’s been a pleasure to support the club’s journey. The pitch delivered by Blakedown Sport & Play has played its part in providing a consistent, high-quality surface throughout the campaign, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the seasons ahead.

It was also fantastic to have members of the Blakedown team in attendance to support the Villains—capped off with the chance to share in the celebrations and get hands on the trophy.

A huge achievement for everyone involved, and we look forward to seeing the club continue its momentum as they take on the challenge of Step 3 next season.

Play-Off Final Secured for Hanworth Villa ⚽

Congratulations to Hanworth Villa FC on an impressive 5–1 victory in their play-off semi-final against Moneyfields FC.

It was a fantastic performance and a great occasion, with many of the Blakedown Sport & Play team in attendance to support the club. It’s rewarding to see the hard work, commitment and quality within the squad paying off at such a crucial stage of the season.

In what is the first season following the installation of their new 3G pitch, it’s great to see the club achieving such strong results on and off the field.

As proud sponsors of Hanworth Villa, we’re delighted to see them reach the final of the South Central Isthmian League play-offs.

Attention now turns to Sunday’s final (3pm), where they will take on Westfield FC in what promises to be a great occasion.

MUGA complete at Carver Barracks ⚒️

We are pleased to showcase the recent completion of a MUGA resurfacing project at Carver Barracks for VIVO Defence Services.

The works involved the removal of the existing surface and shockpad, maintenance of the existing base, followed by the installation of the Edel TeX Sand system, combined with a new in-situ shockpad to deliver a high-quality multi-sport facility.

In addition to the resurfacing, the project included the installation of new 3m high weld mesh fencing and gates, updated line markings for 5-a-side football, and the provision of new hockey goals. 🏑

The completed facility provides a refreshed, compliant and functional multi-sport area, suitable for a range of activities and designed to meet the ongoing demands of the site.

⚽ Pitch 2 ready at Mabley Green
We’re pleased to confirm that Pitch 2 at Mabley Green, East Hackney, is now complete as part of our ongoing 3G resurfacing works for London Borough of Hackney.

The pitch has undergone a full upgrade, including the installation of a new shockpad and surfacing with a brand new Edel Flashblade 60-14 system—delivering a high-quality, durable playing surface.

The transformation has not only enhanced performance underfoot but also brought a noticeably more vibrant and refreshed look to the facility, with a clear visual contrast between the new and existing surface. ⚽

This upgrade will improve reliability and year-round usability for players across East Hackney, providing a safer and more consistent surface for grassroots football and community use.

With Pitch 2 now complete, works will move onto Pitch 1, scheduled to begin in June, continuing the phased redevelopment of the site.

Once finished, the project will deliver two high-quality pitches—supporting local teams and the wider community for years to come.

🚧 The James Hornsby School 3G Resurface

Works have now commenced at our 3G pitch resurface project at The James Hornsby School, Basildon, with fast progress being made by the team.

The existing synthetic surface is currently being lifted and removed from site for recycling, to be followed by the surveying, sweeping and preparation of the underlying base to ensure it is suitable for the installation of the new system.

The next stage will see the installation of a new 50mm TigerTurf Quantum 50 3G surface, followed by the application of line markings for multiple football formats and the replacement of perimeter kickboards.

We look forward to progressing the works further and delivering a high-quality facility for the school and wider community.
