71 years of UK Stock Car racing heritage 🏁
We recently received a brilliant story from Liz & Colin, who race in the Classic F1 Stock Car formula — keeping iconic Brisca F1 machinery from 1980-2001 alive and racing exactly as fans remember them.
Their latest project? The full restoration of Paul Marlor’s original 1991 Brisca F1 Stock Car, rebuilt back to period-correct specification and still competing today with a mighty 383 stroker under the bonnet 💥
Even better, the car still proudly carries the Demon Tweeks logo on the shoulder covers as it battles around legendary oval venues including Skegness, Buxton, Scunthorpe and Bradford.
With over 6,000 registered short oval drivers across the UK & Ireland, the passion for stock car racing remains stronger than ever — and 2026 marks another huge milestone as Brisca F1 heads to Northern Ireland’s Nutts Corner Raceway for the first time in the sport’s 71-year history.
Massive thanks to Liz & Colin for sharing their story and helping keep this incredible era of motorsport alive 👏
