BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
We all know the all famous and popular wooden 2D model bells, which are found in 80% of all bell towers in the UK.
Well, I was approached by the man himself, who has been making these models for the past 40 years. Unfortunately due to his age and health, he has decided to retire from manufacturing these models. And so he got in touch, and has offered the job of these models to me.
Last week, I met the man behind these famous models, and I have accepted the offer.
From Feb 2024, JMB will be manufacturing these models, however we will be doing a complete redesign before going into production. So no orders will be taken yet until we post what our new redesigned models will look like. We have produced the first prototype, but a few changes need to be made first before we go into production and take orders.
We’re looking forward to the future, and hope our 2D models will be just as successful.

Another model complete.
This is a brand new model, manufactured for the ringing chamber of St Bartholomew’s, Coaley.
The bell is a bronze bell, a diameter of 88mm, weighs 10oz and hums at C #.
The bell has been sand-blasted to remove the corrosion. The argent and cast-in clapper have been retained. The bell hangs on an extruded-aluminium headstock with a CNC-machined wooden wheel. All housed in a timber bell frame. Bell rope is one of our in-house bell ropes.

A restoration complete. We had this old Sherborne Teachings Aids 2D wooden model come in for restoration, and then find a new home. The restoration was completed. All wooden parts have been sanded back to have a new clean finish. The spokes have been drawn back on. The wheel has been rehung onto ball bearings. And a new bell rope has been manufactured. Its new home is Belton, Lincs.

Another model completed. This model is for a ringer in Wickwar, Glos. The bell is has its argent and cast-in clapper retained. The bell is hung on an extruded-aluminium headstock with self-aligning ball bearings. The bell has one of our first CNC machined wooden bell wheels. The owner is manufacturing the bell frame for it.

Another model complete. This is potentially the world’s smallest ringable model bell!
The bell weighs 0.25oz (7g), has a diameter of 38mm and hums at the note A.
The bell is hung in a 3D printed bell frame, with a 3D printed headstock, wheel, and slider. The bell swings on oiled plain bearings.

Hi all. I would like to announce, we have started to stretch into other parts of ringing accessories. Starting with bell tower accessories. With bell tower accessories, one of our products we’re able to supply, is ringing chamber info-charts. If your tower is missing or needs a new chart due to dampness or corrosion. We can supply you a new info chart for a very cheap price.
Another accessory we have started supplying and already have to 3 bell towers, is a USB we**am. A very simple way to have live footage of your belfry whilst you’re ringing those changes.
