Bit of a new one for me... Interesting idea and perhaps a sneaky way to get out of a fine if you ever get pulled for a loud exhaust 👀🤭😂 I could see a place for these... Especially with new regulations/restrictions that may come into place as well as in other countries with strict sound restrictions.
egyptian.rider Came to me as he wanted to mount a louder exhaust but also not have any issues with neighbours in the mornings.

He bought an aftermarket valve that can be welded onto the exhaust and be opened and closed with a push of a button.

So essentially he has a baffle he can control himself.

Keeping the valve closed to reduce the noise when warming the bike up and then pressing a button to open it to unleash the full power of the BMW S1000XR.

Such a beautiful bike and I know just how powerful these bikes can be having raced against one on my Fireblade once... This bike has already been tuned so I can only imagine what a menace it must be on the road 😈

Anyway... The new end can was fitted along with the bracket re-positioned to suit and the new valve installed and tested 👌🏻

Enjoy the new sound! 💪🏻

Little repair job on this GS 500 engine... 8 seized bolts removed with rusted lines removed and headers taken off. All 8 holes re-tapped and cracks ground out and fully welded.

And ready to be delivered back to 💪🏻
