This Ford Ranger had quite literally snapped in half! I had to drop the fuel tank just to get at the chassis rail, and once I got it cleaned up, I wrapped it up in 6mm plate like body armor. Way stronger than stock now.
I even plated the other side while I was at it — figured I’d stay one step ahead of any future surprises.
She’s back together, beefed up, and ready to hit the road (or the dirt) again.

This Mercedes Sprinter has dreams of becoming a camper van… but first, we had to deal with some serious rust drama. The inner wheel arches were completely rotten, so out came the plasma cutter and welder. I cut out all the crusty metal, patched it up with fresh steel, and now it’s solid as a rock.

This Isuzu came in for MOT work,
Dropped the fuel tank and found a sizeable hole in the chassis — sorted it with a fresh steel plate and some tidy welding.

Then the rear crossmember turned out to be completely rotten, so I binned it and fabricated a brand-new one from scratch. All solid now and ready to face the MOT tester with confidence!

Had a Nissan X-Trail in recently for some much needed TLC. Both rear arches had rotted out, and there was a rusted section behind the rear suspension that needed attention too. Got all the rot cut out, welded in new metal, painted and under sealed, now it’s solid and ready for its MOT.

Fred rolled into the workshop with some rusty inner rear arches—but not anymore! I cut out every bit of rot and replaced...

Fred rolled into the workshop with some rusty inner rear arches—but not anymore! I cut out every bit of rot and replaced it with new steel, carefully welded it in to make it solid again.
Now, Fred’s got a rock-solid foundation and is officially ready for the next big step: transforming into a proper little camper! 🚐

A seriously heavy furnace door came in for repair today. One corner was badly rusted out, so I cut away the damaged section and replaced it with new 3mm steel plate. I also welded on some rebar triangles to give the new concrete something solid to bond to.
