Paul’s B9 RS4 in recently for Annual service and diagnostic work.

After being quoted nearly £8000 to renew the turbos, Paul came to us to see what our take was on the issue. After doing some logging on the road, it was clear the specified boost pressure wasn’t keeping up with the values that the engine ecu wanted to see, and putting the car into limp mode.

With the intakes removed the turbo’s themselves looked in good condition, and had minimal play. Although the actuators held a good vacuum, we felt that the springs inside were likely becoming weak. Josh fitted and setup a new pair of genuine actuators, and BINGO, back to full strength and no limp mode, for a fraction of the cost.

Off home this evening with a clean bill of health, and his Audi online digital service history updated.

C7.5 RS6 in with us last week for various diagnostic jobs, one of which was to find/cure a rear end rattle that two other garages had struggled with (including a main dealer). After a brief road test we could feel the DRC suspension didn’t feel right, we then checked the pressures and found one circuit had no pressure at all. This was traced back to a flexi line with a pinhole in it, we renewed the line and a damper that was starting to sweat. We re pressurised the system with our in house equipment, and road tested - all fixed! With a few other small jobs taken care of, and she was ready to go home! ✅
