📸 Celebrating Nature Photography Day!

Last week, Compco held a photography competition to mark Nature Photography Day, with colleagues submitting their favourite nature shots.

After reviewing the entries, our People Services team selected the photograph they felt best captured the beauty of the natural world.

Congratulations to our Project Manager, Lauren Lewis from Swansea, whose stunning sunrise photograph taken at Snowdon was chosen as the winning entry. 🌄

Lauren's photo may have taken the top spot, but the standard of entries was incredibly high. Please take a look through the other photographs submitted by colleagues—they were simply too good not to share.

💚 Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 💚

To mark this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, our Swansea team took the opportunity to pause, step away from the busy day-to-day, and reconnect with nature with a refreshing cold water dip at Langland Bay 🌊

Cold water swimming is known to support wellbeing in many ways, including:

✨ Improving mental clarity

✨ Boosting mood

✨ Supporting better sleep

✨ Reducing stress and anxiety

Across our other regions, teams also got involved by taking part in wellbeing walks and outdoor activities in and outside of working hours, encouraging time to connect, recharge, and support one another 🚶‍♀️🌿

Our regions also proudly took part in ‘Wear It Green Day’ in support of the Mental Health Foundation 💚

A huge thank you to all of our regions for getting involved and continuing to support such an important cause 👏

In construction, pressure from tight deadlines, long hours, physical demands and job uncertainty can take their toll. Many people keep things to themselves, carrying stress, worry or personal challenges without reaching out for help.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, The Lighthouse Charity are focusing on helping people feel more confident about checking in, starting a conversation and knowing where to turn to for support.
