Two more MultiJet units ready for customer collection.

Another customer is adding to their existing Calder MultiJet fleet. These ultra-high-pressure water jetting pumps will be used for tube cleaning in refineries. We always try to keep new units in stock and some in build, so we are able to offer our customers a short lead time.

Possibly the most honest clothing label I’ve ever seen.
We’ve just received some promotional t-shirts from TST in Sweden.
But the pressure rating caught my attention.

Preservation of chemical injection skid.

We are currently carrying out preservation on this modular chemical injection pump package to enable it to be stored (in this instance) for up to 6 months.

The chemical injection skid is designed for offshore hazardous area operations in the northern North Sea. It will inject scale, corrosion, and wax inhibitors. Project specifications included that equipment should endure a minimum of 6 months without the need for maintenance, achieve a stringent noise level limit, and have a design life of 20 years.

Preservation includes:
• Gearbox and pump filled completely with oil to protect internal components.
• Tubing and vales drained and internally dried.
• Junction boxes protected internally and externally.
• Pressure instruments and display readouts protected.
• Motor terminal boxes protected.
• All preserved items tagged.

The preservation follows the recent F.A.T. testing. This was carried out in-house through our extensive test facilities. The customer’s project and operations teams attended the F.A.T.

To some a thing of beauty.
To others a lump of metal.
To Calder this is the physical manifestation of months of work and pump technology that will reduce our customer’s costs.

The start of the build of a chemical injection pump package for offshore hazardous area operations. The arrival of the base frame follows a detailed proposal stage, engineering reviews, bid clarification meetings, purchase order and then the engineering and design.

This pump skid will leave here designed and built to ATEX and NORSOK standards. It will have been designed in Worcester, built in Worcester, and tested in Worcester.

This is yet another pump package to feature the Hampro 70V variable stroke pump. The 70V allows a variable flow rate to be achieved without the requirement for a VSD. This technology offers significant cost savings for offshore platforms.

A successful day at the Water Jetting Association trade show. It was a good chance to catch up with existing customers and familiar faces. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of new people moving into water jetting, and existing contractors looking to move into the higher pressure applications.

We were pleased to be joined on our stands by our partners, TST, DERC Salotech, and Peinemann. Their PPE, high pressure water jetting accessories, and tube cleaning equipment, perfectly complement our MultiJet range of pump units.

Creating much interest was our latest water jetting unit – the 340 skid. This beast of a machine offers increased operational efficiency, and is available in both diesel and electric drive configurations. The 340 skid pictured is the Tier 3 unit and we also offer Stage 5 units for use in the UK and EU. All machines in our MultiJet range feature the superb Hammelmann GmbH pump.

Thank you to the Water Jetting Association for hosting this excellent event, and to TST Sweden AB, DERC Salotech, and Peinemann Equipment for their continued support.

Huge thanks to Simon Schonborn and Martin Gehle of Hammelmann. Over the course of two days, they presented the latest updates to the Hampro range of process pumps.

There were valuable discussions on the applications for the Hampro pumps. As the technology advances, the list of applications grows. Industries benefitting from Hammelmann technology include Pulp & Paper, Mining, Steel, Food & Beverage, Refineries, Energy, and Waste Water.

In all, fifteen of our team were involved in the update training, adding significantly to their existing knowledge of Hammelmann pumps.

Thank you Simon and Martin for two very interesting and informative days. Lots learnt, lots discussed, and lots to think about.

We have just completed the supply of 2 tube bundle extractors from our BundlePro range.

Our team in the Middle East mounted both extractors onto customer-supplied trucks. The extractors, each with a capacity of 25,000 kgs, will be used for large-scale, low level removal and transport of tube bundles for cleaning.

Truck-mounting of the puller allows easy and rapid deployment across a petrochemical refinery. Bundle extraction and re-insertion is carried out without the need for a crane. With no need for a separate bundle carrier, the time and cost saving are significant.
