Nice little job today machining down and welding a boss for a methanol injection nozzle. And the first job on Richard Farthing 's lovely rebuilt Myford ML7 lathe. We had to be absolutely spot on with this the nozzle needed to be just a couple of thousands of an inch proud into the air intake. We nailed it once it was "clocked" we broke out our Parweld tig set and the Ric worked his magic job done

So last week we had a few bits to weld up for a cobra build, one of the bits was welding the exhaust sensor boss in the down pipe. I got into the workshop early had a little tidy up then picked up the exhaust but where was the boss??? Three hours later after going through the whole half of the workshop, the bin three times, my snap on box twice I gave up it was lost. So luckily the next day the postman brought us a replacement I was questioning my insanity as to where it had gone......... Today I needed a tape measure so I grabbed my new one my nephew bought me at Christmas yes they have a magnetic end DOH... I would have been looking a long time still at least I'm not going crazy😉
