We would caution any river users around Woodbridge that there have been a number of incidents recently that indicate unsafe bathing conditions.

On July 6th we tested the Deben and found E.coli readings well above the Environment Agency's 'Safe Bathing' guideline of 9 colonies at Kyson point, Martlesham Creek, and around Woodbridge.

We have also become aware of a pump failure at Anglian Water's Hamblin Road car park pumping station, where a 3 hour release took place on July 11th. The release appears to have stopped but tankers were still there ferrying away sewage as of late July 13th.

We believe this and the previous high E.coli reading by the Woodbridge houseboats are connected and will be conducting further testing. Stay tuned for updates.

Pretty sure most people know that parking is very restricted on Tide Mill Way, but this is taking it to extremes.

Decades ago we digitised all of the sail and rig plans at Suffolk Sails, but we didn't do Austin Farrar or as they did not get a serial number stamped on the corner.
This sail has come in to be replaced and before measuring I though a quick check of Austin's old rig book might help...1975 Not bad!

A small thank you from a client I have made and serviced sails for the last 30 years . He's decided to hang up his yacht boots at the age of 86!
His first sail we made was for a Contessa 26 in 1992. So his sail orders pre -date Simon joining

It's always good to hear from our clients and i was especially pleased to make a new sail for Jamie Roberts' Orford Dabchick and then receive this book from Jamie, written by his father. I recognised the sail number when he ordered and remembered his father, who was a long time client; and like (london!?) buses we make one lugsail and then along comes another this time in red.
A cheeky training sail for an RS200 and then back to the big stuff a Furling mainsail for a yacht in Mill Yacht Harbour
