Restorations are UP!! 💚🔧

With our continued passion for restoring cars that hold such special sentimental value, we’ve welcomed another Abingdon into the Centre today!

I believe this is the 5th one to arrive in the last couple of years, which is truly exciting. There’s something incredibly special about receiving a car that someone loves enough to entrust to us for the full MGF Centre treatment!

We’ll lovingly restore her to the standard we’ve always believed these cars deserved — a standard even Rover would have struggled to achieve! 😉

This is 1 of 4 green Mk1 MGFs we currently have here awaiting restoration. 💚

Knowing how much these cars mean to their owners, and sharing their enthusiasm for seeing them rebuilt to the very highest standard, keeps us motivated through the long hours and hard work that lie ahead.

The restorations are rolling, the passion is alive, and the Abingdon girls are getting the love they deserve! 🛠️💚

Spectacular Interiors.....and paint jobs too.
Completely different car to the one that arrived.
We are seeing an increasing number of the late Chinese models with replaced subframes and air con pipes either cut off or just missing.
This LE came into us with every bolt loose on the subframes/suspension from newly fitted subframes. Dangerous!!
To add to that the fitters cut through the air con pipes.
The air con is now fixed and working, thanks to our resourceful nature and expertise, so why not get a new paint job and leather interior while she's here, it'd be rude not too.
Small details like matching the centre caps to the wheels, fitting a black petrol cap and removing the 'lexus style' rear lights (there was some resistance) added to the luxury finish of the Aubergine Scottish hide, embroidered especially to commemorate the edition.
This was also the quickest handover I've ever done! John was gone within 10 mins, not because of what I said for a change! He was just so excited to drive her back to Southampton.

The Genius that is Bill!!
Close to a year since this MGF has been running, plus 5 different "MG Garages" have had a go!!!!
It arrived from Swansea on a truck, 1 hour with Bill and it's running. Customer collecting today.
It really does pay to go straight to the best place first regardless of the distance.
Now Mike can finally enjoy driving his MG again.

Wheels & Paint
Patrick's MGTF has been coming to MGF Centre for a number of years. This is the standard of where we are up to with it. Paint refresh, across the bonnet and inner arches. we fitted the wheels and AP calipers last year. This year it was time for the shadow chrome finish. We have worked through the usual list of engine/underbody/new hood/stainless steel parts/Scorpion Exhaust. I believe leather interior is next on the list! Patrick is open to designs, so it will be interesting. Patrick will certainly be showing her off at POL.

When only Speedster seats will do.......
Another beautiful transformation, using quality and design to create interiors worthy of an amazing car.
Kevin's car pictured has benefitted from having our extensive engine build package in 2021, now he's back with us for some much needed TLC - Mot, full cambelt service, healthcheck, polished headlights, clean up the hood, fit Comfort Speedster seats, 2 front wishbones, 2 subframe mounts. Going forward he will need a Scorpion exhaust (current exhaust is rotten, he's not being forced to have one😁), and the all important underbody treatment.

Less than 10k...
but still benefits from a sand/mop & polish.
Reviving the old paint has really finished this beautiful low mileage F. My customers don't just settle for good, they want great and we are here to offer it!!
