It is unknown to most but the Midlands is a booming centre of engineering industries across all disciplines including the automotive, aerospace and civil sectors, with Wolverhampton being no exception. Wolverhampton is home to some of the largest aerospace mechanical systems suppliers in the world, providing flight critical systems to the world’s most famous aircraft. Due to the engineering herita
ge and current large engineering community, the Wolverhampton YMP was born. The Wolverhampton YMP exists to allow young engineers across all disciplines to network together, providing a single entity in which to make contacts, get involved in engineering activities and to continue to develop in a professional context. Although the Wolverhampton YMP is an established panel, it has recently undergone a number of changes, including a complete change of management, to help bring it in-line with today’s young engineers and to aid in progressing forward. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity to get involved and to shape the panel towards fulfilling yours and all other young engineers’ needs.
