In a care environment, maintaining safe water systems is about protecting residents, staff, and visitors every day.

Remote monitoring provides continuous visibility of your water systems, helping identify potential issues before they become bigger problems and giving teams greater confidence that critical controls are working as they should.

Key benefits include:

• Continuous monitoring of water temperatures across your site
• Early identification of temperature fluctuations and potential risks
• Improved oversight between routine site visits
• Greater consistency in compliance monitoring and record keeping
• Enhanced visibility for multi-home operators
• Support in maintaining safe water systems during periods of low occupancy or staff absence

For care providers, remote monitoring helps create a more proactive approach to water safety, providing reassurance that systems are being monitored consistently and risks are identified quickly.

When it comes to water safety, prevention is always better than reaction.

We're proud of the work we do together every day, but it's just as important to take time to connect outside of work too.

Recently, members of the Nant team headed to Clays in Birmingham for an evening of friendly competition and plenty of laughs.

Nights like these are a chance to bring colleagues together and celebrate the people who make Nant what it is. As we continue to grow, maintaining a positive and supportive culture remains an important part of who we are.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us. We're already looking forward to the next one!

Safe water systems are a vital part of creating well-managed care environments that protect residents, staff, and visitors every day.

Managing risks such as Legionella should never be driven solely by inspections or paperwork but byt having the right controls in place consistently, so safety becomes part of day-to-day operations.

That includes:
• An up-to-date Legionella risk assessment
• Regular temperature monitoring and flushing records
• Prompt remedial action where issues are identified
• Clear responsibilities for managing water safety
• Ongoing review of systems, records, and compliance activity

For care providers, good water safety management provides confidence that systems are being looked after properly, allowing teams to focus on delivering high-quality care.

At Nant, we help care homes remove the burden of water safety and compliance by providing reliable, behind-the-scenes support that keeps everything running smoothly.

Behind every strong business are people who continue to grow with it.

Our Growth Stories series shines a light on our most important asset, our people. Hearing directly from team members about their roles, how their careers have developed, and the opportunities they’ve had since joining the business.

From learning new skills and progressing into leadership roles, to building confidence and taking on new challenges, these stories reflect the investment we place in our people and the culture we continue to build.

When our team grows, so does the service and support we provide to our customers.

Some of the biggest summer water safety risks are often the easiest to overlook.

External taps, hoses, irrigation systems, and decorative water features can see increased use during warmer months or remain unused for long periods in between. Both can create potential risk if not properly managed.

As part of seasonal water safety checks, it’s worth reviewing:
• External outlets and hoses after periods of low use
• Flushing routines for infrequently used outlets
• Water features, fountains, or irrigation systems
• Cleanliness, maintenance, and condition
• Whether controls remain suitable for current usage

Small checks carried out consistently can make a big difference.

This week, we’re marking Dementia Action Week by reflecting on our partnership with the Memory Tour.

Now in its fourth year, the tour, operated by Wolverhampton Grand Theatre brings dementia-friendly musical performances directly into local care homes, creating uplifting experiences for residents, carers, and staff.

The initiative reflects the values that guide us at Nant; Care, Commitment, and Consistency and seeing the joy it brings to those who need it most is something truly special.
