JTP is 25 Years Old!!
Crikey - in what feels like the blink of an eye, JT Productions (not the Ltd. part just yet) is 25 years old!!
The best thing about this statement is that our FIRST EVER client is still a client to this very day which is something that I’m extremely proud of. The live events industry is certainly not an easy one by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s one that I'm incredibly proud to be involved with and to have been involved with for so long.
I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that has helped us on this journey both in the past and the present but also in the future for the events we have coming up.
Firstly, to our amazing crew (both full time and freelance) - you are the front line of JTP and you do such an incredible job for us and we couldn’t do it without you. From the early morning call times, the long days and the late night finishes, you're all extremely talented at what you do and you always do it with a smile on your face (well, most of the time anyway 😉) so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To our wonderful clients - without your trust and support we would not be where we are now, especially when Covid hit back in 2020. We went into lockdown in March 2020 and we were hoping to be turning 20 years old in April ’21 but at quite a few times along the way during Covid, I didn’t think we would ever see that milestone. Because of your support during that extremely difficult time (the most difficult in my life), you enabled us to not only get to that milestone but to smash past it and now we’re bigger and stronger than ever before - thank you.
To our suppliers - in order to deliver a successful event, you not only need a lovely client and a wonderful team of crew, you also need a wide range of suppliers to cope with the additional kit requirements on a job by job basis, the whacky and out of the ordinary requests that come our way (you wouldn’t believe some of them!) and also the last minute requests of “I don’t suppose you can just…?”. Some of you we use regularly and others not so often but you’re all an incredibly important part of our eco-system so thank you very much.
Then finally to my amazing wife Jo and our children who have put up with so much and me not being there for so much of the time. Sometimes, even when I’m there I’m not there, my mind is elsewhere checking we’ve got the right kit, crew and configurations for the next event coming up. You guys are my rock, I love you all completely and you make me who and what I am. Even including the times when I come back from a large event and try and ask you to do something for me, the replies always come back saying “You’re not on-site now dad / Jim !!” - very grounding indeed 😂
It’s been the most incredible journey and I have been extremely privileged to have met some wonderful people along the way. I have also been to some of the most amazing places and venues all over the world and for that I am so very grateful. I love my job, my event industry and the people in it (my work family as my family call them) and if I was ever given this time on earth again, I’d do exactly the same in a heartbeat.
So a huge THANK YOU once again to everyone who has been involved in our journey one way or another, let’s see what the next 25 years have in store… 😉
Much love to you all,
Jim.
