Work is progressing on a new Air Separation Unit in Christchurch - at our Sockburn site, which is already a key hub for production, storage and logistics in New Zealand.

After approximately 15,000 engineering hours, the completed ASU will deliver up to 30 tons of liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen combined per day. Building on the site's strong foundation the plant will increase its support to essential industries across the country and the Pacific Islands from healthcare and food production to manufacturing and emerging high-tech and aerospace sectors.

This impact goes beyond supply. By localizing production, we’ll also eliminate up to 1,000 inter-island tanker movements annually — reducing emissions and strengthening supply resilience.

Linde is expanding its long‑term partnership with Zhenshi Group Eastern Special Steel to support a new green nickel‑chromium materials project in Zhejiang.

Linde will continue to supply safe and reliable industrial gases via a new large‑scale ASU, along with the introduction of three REBOX® full oxy‑fuel combustion systems, which use pure oxygen instead of air, significantly reducing fuel consumption and cutting NOX and CO₂ emissions.

Already in use at 180+ steel furnaces worldwide, REBOX® full oxy‑fuel is now being deployed for the first time in large‑scale steel heating and heat treatment application in China - an exciting step forward for cleaner, more efficient steel production.

: In Terni, Italy the region's first two hydrogen buses are now on the road.

With support from Linde Gas Italia, a temporary refueling solution is already in place - enabling these zero-emission vehicles to roll out today while a permanent station is under construction (set for completion in 2027).

We're officially up and running with our new OPTIFLO₂ VPSA plant for AGC Flat Glass in Dubí, Czech Republic.

By combining low‑pressure oxygen generation using our VITRON™ technology with advanced low‑pressure oxy‑fuel burners, the system helps boost efficiency, giving the plant greater operational flexibility.
