There’s something satisfying about seeing a four-door Range Rover Classic being used exactly as intended.

Forty-three years on from leaving Solihull, this 1983 example still feels entirely relevant on the road today. Finished in green over tan, sitting on black sawtooths and powered by a 4.6-litre V8, it has enough presence to stand out in London traffic without ever needing to shout about it.

Perhaps that’s always been the Range Rover’s greatest strength.

Finished in Silver Pine Green and trimmed in tan leather with tweed detailing, every element was specified by the client and brought to life by our team.

A very special commission.

Originally converted to convertible specification by Wood & Pickett, this 1980 two-door Range Rover has undergone a complete nut-and-bolt restoration at Kingsley, resulting in one of the most unique vehicles ever to leave our workshop.

Finished in Beluga Black over a bespoke Beige leather interior, the car retains its original character while benefiting from carefully considered upgrades throughout. Power comes from a 3.9-litre V8 carburettor engine, paired with the original four-speed manual gearbox, while TracTive active damping suspension delivers a level of ride quality and control unimaginable when the car first left Solihull.

The vehicle sits on Kingsley’s Rostyle alloy wheels, a subtle nod to period styling that perfectly complements the elegant lines of this rare convertible.
Every component has been restored, refinished or rebuilt, creating a vehicle that feels every bit as special as its history suggests.

Projects like this remind us that some vehicles deserve a completely bespoke approach.

SOLD | 1976 Land Rover 101 Forward Control - LS3 Powered

Now sold - and not one we’ll forget in a hurry.

This 1976 Land Rover 101 Forward Control began life as a British Army gun tractor, built with a forward-control layout, 101-inch wheelbase and a clear focus on function over form.

This particular example added a twist. Power comes from a Chevrolet LS3 V8 paired with a GM 6L80E automatic gearbox, transforming it from something steady and utilitarian into something far more entertaining.

We’re delighted to have handled the sale of such a unique machine.
