Chemical Flushing Results 🧪

A flush is carried out when magnetite sludge builds up in radiators. Magnetite causes:

- Cold spots on radiators
- Rooms to feel colder than other parts of the house
- A Decrease in system efficiency, which can increase gas bills
- Shortens the life span of your central heating & boiler

In the pictures, a recent flush was carried out in a 2011 build. The client had noticed cold spots on their radiators, we used a thermal imaging camera to allow them to see the results.

Recent boiler and 8 radiator upgrade in a victorian property.

The client had advised that their gas boiler had been in for 21 years and the old radiators had been in longer. There gas bills were high and the house was hard to heat, we found this was due to a low efficiency boiler and undersized radiators.

We designed a new heating system, including a Viessmann energy rated A boiler, installed and commissioned the system which has since reduced the gas bills by £8 per day, whilst heating the property adequately and not to mention a stunning finish with these traditional cast iron radiators which compliment the Victorian built house.

Are you getting cold spots on your radiators?

A heating system chemical flush is carried out to eradicate this.

Magnetite is a magnetic sludge that builds up inside pipework from the corrosion of pipes, radiators and components. Over time, this can block radiators and pipes, which cause cold spots, making it hard to heat your home.

This also will make your boiler/ heating system run harder and longer- lowering the lifespan of your boiler and burning more energy than required- inflating your energy bills.

We then dose your system with inhibitor, which is used to stop these metal deposits building up again to cause future problems.
