🚜 Another tractor ready for work

This tidy Kubota M6-132 recently headed out to a customer, fitted with a Kubota LK2400H (MX) loader.

The customer was looking for another tractor and loader to help with jobs around the yard, and this one fitted the bill perfectly. With just 2,700 hours on the clock, it’s a well-looked-after machine.

Before leaving us, it was fully serviced and checked over, so it’s ready to go straight to work.

🌾 Ready to Go – SIP Star R 670|22 TC 🌾

This SIP Star R 670|22 TC has just been through the workshop for PDI and is now ready to head out to its new owner.

With an impressive 6.7m working width, twin-rotor central delivery and 22 tine arms per rotor, it’s built for high-output raking and forming clean, even swaths. The tandem axle provides excellent ground following, helping to maintain forage quality.

Fully checked over, set up and prepared properly before leaving the yard.

A Bit of Fabrication in the Workshop 🔧🔥

This Conor tanker came in with some badly rusted flanged inlet pipes that were beyond saving.

Rather than patching it up, we fabricated new sections using 5mm thick steel pipe, welded new flanges onto them, and then welded the assembly back onto the tanker body.

A solid repair that’ll last, and keeps the tanker working.

Always good to see proper fabrication work coming together.

Workshop Update – Massey Ferguson 6470 🔧

This Massey Ferguson 6470 is currently with us for servicing and a few repairs.

While checking over the steering, we found the track rod ends had caused damage to the wheel hubs. The mounting holes have become elongated, likely due to the track rod nuts working loose over time and allowing movement when steering.

The good news? We don’t need to replace the hubs completely.

They’re now going away to be professionally bushed, which saves the cost of new hubs. Still not cheap, but far better than a full replacement.

It’s also a reminder of how small issues, like loose nuts, can turn into bigger repairs if left unchecked.

A differential that wasn’t very differential. 🚜🛠️

This Massey Ferguson 5455 came into the workshop with a front diff that decided it didn’t want to do its job anymore.

At some point, it’s lost its oil and been run completely dry, which has led to failed bearings and damaged gears inside the unit.

Unfortunately, once they get to this stage, it’s not a case of replacing one or two components. The most cost-effective and reliable solution is fitting a complete replacement diff assembly.

It’s now underway and will soon be back doing what it should.
