We’ve just completed a lighting install on this Scania V8 for Millers — delivering both standout looks and functionality.

This setup includes:
• Top bar with high-performance spot lights
• Perimeter lighting for improved all-round visibility
• Beacons and strobe lights for enhanced site safety
• Reverse spot lights fitted into the steps for safer manoeuvring in low light

As always, the wiring was carried out with precision — routed close to the factory system and integrated using our own relays and holders. The result is a clean, OEM-style finish.

At our body shop, we believe in repairing before replacing — when it’s safe and practical to do so.

The photos show a recent job where, instead of replacing the entire doors and outer door frame, we in-house fabricated and replaced the damaged sections of the doors and frame. By doing this, we restored the vehicle’s structure and appearance while saving our customer a significant amount of money.

Full door and frame replacements can be extremely costly. With the right expertise, equipment, and attention to detail, custom fabrication allows us to deliver a high-quality, factory-standard finish without the unnecessary expense.

It’s been a busy and exciting week here at Turner Commercials 🚛🔧**

We’re making big progress with the build of our brand-new commercial spray booth, designed to accommodate:

• Double deck trailers
• Rigids
• Tractor units

Alongside this, we’re also installing a smaller booth dedicated to vans and smaller components – giving us greater flexibility and faster turnaround times for our customers.

On top of that, we’ve had our ATF-approved MAHA rollers installed, further strengthening our testing capabilities and ensuring we continue to meet the highest industry standards.

A lot of hard work behind the scenes, but we’re proud to be investing in the future and expanding what we can offer.

Workshop HGV Technician – Turner Commercials Ltd

Location: Whittlesey

Salary: £20 - £23 per hour + Company Van
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, every other Saturday.

Turner Commercials Ltd is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our workshop team. If you have a passion for commercial vehicle maintenance and want to work for a well-established, reputable company, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

The Role:
• Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs to a high standard
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out necessary repairs
• Working efficiently to meet deadlines and ensure minimal downtime
• Conducting safety inspections in line with DVSA requirements
• Keeping accurate records of all work completed

What We’re Looking For:
• Level 3 qualification in HGV maintenance (or equivalent) preferred
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician/Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence beneficial but not essential)

What We Offer:
• Competitive hourly rate of £20 - £24
• Company van provided
• Monday to Friday working hours (8 AM – 4 PM) and every other Saturday
• Supportive and professional working environment
