EDF have released some amazing numbers on Hinkley Point C's positive impact on people and the environment:
1,740 apprentices trained, nearly double the original target of 1,000, with almost 70% from the South West.
Β£5.4 billion spent with 1,500 businesses across the region, including a new factory in North Wales employing 200 people.
A well as this: Β£20 million in community grants reaching over 600,000 people, 19,500 upskilled through local Centres of Excellence, 65,000 trees planted, and 92 bird species recorded around the site. This is a project that has committed serious resource to building careers, supply chain capability, and a skills base that will feed directly into the next generation of UK nuclear build π
What stands out most to you from those numbers?
