Another sewer diversion successfully completed in Robin Hood's Bay to bypass a degraded septic tank.

We took care of the entire process for the customer, including:

•Detailed drawings with chainage, depths, and correct working grades
•Introducing backdrops where required
•Preparing and securing approval for TM plans with Highways
•Obtaining final sign-off from Yorkshire Water upon completion
•Road re-opened safely and ahead of schedule

We are proud to have successfully completed the works on this new arena at Fyling Hall School

The project included:
•Full site strip
•Cut and fill operations involving over 1,000m³ of spoil
•Installation of more than 200 linear metres of drainage
•Import and placement of over 300 tonnes of clean free-draining aggregates
•Supply and installation of 140 tonnes of silica sand supplied by BM Fenby
•Installation of two layers of geomembrane
•Supply and installation of estate fencing, arena fencing, and gates
•Construction of a new access track from the school to the arena
•A great project to be involved in, delivering a high-quality finished arena for the school.

We are also proud to have donated the bench for the children to take a break from riding!

Recent road repairs completed in Robin Hood’s Bay 🚧

Residents opted for a new concrete road for the main access, providing a more durable and long-lasting surface.

Works included:
• Reduced dig and disposal
• Import and compaction of new Type 1 sub-base
• Installation of false shuttering
• Supply and laying of 140mm structural fibre concrete with bullnose edge and brush finish

The remaining road was thoroughly cleaned using a mechanical steel-head moss brush and a skid steer road sweeper.

Areas with potholes and porous tarmac were cut out, excavated, and reinstated as a temporary repair, as per the residents’ request.

Another job delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard with great feedback 👷‍♂️

We were asked by our local pre-school: “We’re looking to create a construction area in the garden—can PB Civils help?”

Safe to say… we delivered 👷‍♂️🚧

We transformed the space into a hands-on play zone, complete with play-grade bark, diggers, and boulders—perfect for little builders to explore, create, and have fun.

The best part? The children return after half term to a completely new outdoor experience, and we can’t wait for them to see it!

Even better, this pre-school is a charitable organisation, so we were proud to carry out these works completely free of charge 💚
