Check out one of our latest Earthmill projects, which is now complete!

The replacement of the 80kW Endurance turbine with a reconditioned 250kW inverter-controlled WTN turbine has now been successfully commissioned and is generating power. A fantastic effort from the Earthmill technicians this week, delivering another upgrade that will significantly increase renewable energy generation from an existing site.

Repowering onshore wind assets is becoming increasingly important in maximising performance, extending site life, and increasing clean energy output without the need for entirely new developments. Earthmill can support asset owners throughout the process, from feasibility and turbine sourcing through to installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.

Our Earthmill team had a great time at the All-Energy Conference in Glasgow last week.

Key takeaways for the onshore wind sector were heavily focused on scaling deployment, improving grid access, and extending the life and efficiency of existing assets. These themes included:

✅ Repowering is creating a significant opportunity and becoming one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to increase the UK’s renewable generation capacity without developing new sites

✅ Predictive maintenance and data analytics are moving centre stage

✅ UK policy environment is now more supportive

On Thursday 14 May, the Earthmill team proudly took part in ‘Wear It Green’ to help raise awareness for mental health.

Mental health matters in every workplace and across every industry. Taking the time to support one another, encourage open conversations and promote wellbeing is something we believe is incredibly important.
