Brentry is approaching handover, with the site looking exceptional. All steelwork is now fully enclosed, leaving only the exposed Galv & PPC stairs, balconies, and railings to highlight the architectural detail

Anyone involved in construction will know how challenging it can be at times, and we’ve certainly had our fair share of headaches this year!

That said, we’re finishing 2025 on a positive note and looking forward to a strong 2026

Alongside the steelwork itself, from tendering and detailing through to fabrication and installation (and of course the Accounts department!), we’ve also seen staff move on and welcomed new team members who have stepped up and excelled. The new workshop has continued to push through pressure, adapt when needed, and deliver solid work despite the challenges thrown our way

We thank our internal team and extensive supply chain for the effort, resilience, and commitment shown throughout the year, thank you!

We’ve also gained an office dog (Dotty), sponsored a few football teams, kept everyone’s fructose levels up, fallen out over the washing up, and still managed to produce some quality work in between

Littleton Steel are proud to Support the Redevelopment of Historic Bailys Tannery in Glastonbury

Littleton Steel is excited to be working alongside Beard on the transformation of the historic Bailys Tannery site in Glastonbury. This ambitious project will see the conversion of the former leatherworks into a vibrant contemporary village community designed to support small businesses.

With roots dating back to the 14th century, the site has long been a cornerstone of local industry. Bailys Tannery, a significant local employer from 1868 onwards, stands as a testament to Glastonbury’s rich industrial heritage. The two principal buildings on site, Bailys West and Bailys East are Grade II listed and remain iconic remnants of the once-extensive industrial complex that lined Beckery Road.

The tannery buildings have remained unoccupied since the early 1990s, and we are proud to contribute to their revitalization. Strengthening works are currently underway, and steel modelling is progressing steadily with Block G set to commence shortly.

We look forward to supporting this unique project and helping to breathe new life into this historic site.
