While most people were watching the clock waiting for Friday to finish, we were busy making sure another 44.1 cubes of concrete ended up exactly where it needed to be! 😎

💚 Pumped, laid and finished by the dream team
💚 Dapple bar finish to get it looking the part!

No sooner had we finished there, it was time to get moving again…

The wagons have been flat out, the phone hasn’t stopped ringing, Chris, Pip & Birky have aged about 10 years and I’m fairly sure I’ve said “how many cube?” more times than my own name 😂

“Why do you charge delivery?” 🤔

Well… meet the reason. ⛽️😂

Our volumetric mixers average around a whopping 2.8 MPG.

Yes. TWO POINT EIGHT. 😭

So unfortunately, these big green girls don’t run on fresh air, good intentions and my lipgloss. 💄😂

By the time we’ve got:

🚛 A volumetric mixer doing 2.8 MPG
⛽ Diesel disappearing quicker than we can put it in
👷 A Class 2 driver behind the wheel
🔧 Maintenance, servicing & tyres
🧽 Cleaning
🛣️ And the time it takes to actually get your concrete to site…

That little delivery charge suddenly starts making a bit more sense 😂

And no… it’s not funding our next holiday.

It’s quite literally going straight down that hole. ⛽️💸😂

You only pay for the concrete you use… we just have to feed the beast that brings it. 🚛
