It was a daunting privilege to be asked to help update Scotland’s equine welfare Code of Practice - but what an immense priviledge to have. The weight of the importance of this was not lost on me, and I feel very proud to have been part of such an incredible like-minded team working towards this national policy.
Conversations were had, challenging conversations that taught all of us and helped us consider everything we could think of, overlapping our shared knowledge to fully cover the subject. What resulted from this was clear, defensible, practical and capable policy, focused, as all my work is, on the welfare of the horse.
