Some lifts come up that sadly are just to big for our cranes to handle, so when we had a call to lift a garden pod to the rear of a garden in Kempston, we called on Nationwide Lifting Solutions to supply their Liebherr LTM1130 with additional ballast, alongside Davis Trackway to lay out an access road and set up area for the crane to rig on.
We carried out an extensive site visit, discussing all the options with the customer, confirming access was possible for the size of machine required, confirmed provisions for ground protection, and lifting equipment required by the manufacturer of the pod.
With co-ordination with the trackway suppliers installing on the day before, routings in place to access site before disruption to local traffic, liaising with transport to ensure a delivery time after set up was complete, and removal of all machines and equipment before the evening rush hour, the lift was completed without issue and to the customers satisfaction.
