Yesterday we attended the National Manufacturing Summit.
It was a valuable opportunity to connect with peers across the sector, discuss our shared values and consider what lies ahead for UK manufacturing in 2026. The day was filled with insight and honest discussion around the real challenges facing the engineering sector.
We look forward to building on this momentum in April and will share further updates from the Engineering Technology Group soon.

A reminder that The Engineering Technology Group is proud to be a sponsor and exhibitor at the National Manufacturing Summit 2026.

On Thursday, 26th February, the industry will gather at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry to focus on what’s next for British manufacturing. This year’s theme, “Powering Progress: Strategy for Great British Manufacturing”, centres on the practical steps needed to strengthen UK industry for the long term.

It promises to be a focused day of discussion around investment, capability and making decisions that deliver real results on the shop floor.

Steven Brown and Graeme Thomas will be representing ETG. If you’re attending, please come and see us. We’ll be on hand to talk through how our turnkey machining cells are supporting manufacturers to improve output and make better use of their resources.

Tickets are free, but capacity is limited. If you have not yet registered, you can secure your place here:

EAGLE-power with multi-cavity wear technology — never seen before!

ETG is proud to introduce the Eagle G50 Competition from OPS Ingersoll: a groundbreaking, technically superior Die Sinking EDM solution that sets a new benchmark for performance and precision in the UK and Ireland.

Built on the trusted Gantry Eagle platform and enhanced with the advanced G5 Precision generator and programming, the Eagle G50 is engineered to meet and exceed every essential EDM market requirement.

Key Features
• Gantry concept with three open sides for exceptional accessibility all around the working area including part removal by crane or other means
• Programmable four-sided rise-and-fall tank, filled with dielectric fluid
• EAGLETec inside – delivering unmatched surface quality and control
• Z-Axis Daylight 135–585mm paired with a unique dielectric level portal design for a market-leading usable field volume
• Powered by EAGLE PowerSPARK for maximum dynamics and precision

Breakthrough Performance

Both the Eagle G50 and G80 introduce a revolutionary production technology that dramatically improves electrode efficiency, even with graphite down to VDI 12 (VDI 8 G5).

These machines deliver ultra-fine, matte-glass surfaces with graphite (results once thought impossible) while overcoming long-standing challenges such as electrode wear and inconsistent textures.

A New Era of EDM

OPS Ingersoll has created a new generation of machines that unlock true multi-cavity, low-wear machining, previously unattainable in this class.

Experience precision. Experience innovation.

Experience EAGLE-power — available exclusively through ETG in the UK and Ireland.
ETG is happy to advise you and configure an OPS Ingersoll machine tailored to your specific application. To find out more about OPS Ingersoll products available from ETG, please contact your local Regional Business Manager – or call us directly on 01926 818 418.
