We are seeking a skilled Stainless Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding and fabrication techniques to contribute to diverse projects within our organisation.
Duties:
Perform TIG/MAG welding on various materials, primarily sheet metal, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
Fabricate parts according to detailed drawings and technical specifications, ensuring accurate measurements using basic maths skills.
Work with sheet metal and other materials to produce components for assembly or further processing.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or sub-assemblies.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to verify conformity with specifications and standards.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety protocols.
Must be able to work on own initiative or as part of a larger team on complex fabrications.
Qualifications:
Previous codes/qualifications in TIG and MAG welding and experienced in general fabrication work, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques specific to BS EN 1090 welding standards.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as shears, brake press, punches, grinders and drills.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret fabrication and assembly drawings.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication processes.
Experience working with sheet metal and rolled sections and performing assembly tasks is highly desirable.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while adhering to health & safety regulations.
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality assurance. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills further within a professional manufacturing setting while contributing to high-quality production standards.
