Washington Millennium Centre is a long standing Community Centre based in the heart of Concord, Washington. In 1996 The old "Oval CA" was partially destroyed by fire leaving only one small building. In 1998 The National Playing Fields Association (NPFA) with support from Sunderland City Council, The Football Association and The Millennium Commission combined to build one of 12 Millennium Centre's
nationwide. On July 19th 1999 the centre was officially re-opened by H.R.H The Duke Of Edinburgh and guests. Washington Millennium Centre acts as a Community hub facilitating a range of activities. Washington Millennium Centre Fitness Suite
The centre's Fitness suite was refurbished and extended in 2007 as a result of Barclays Spaces For Sport Funding. The funding enabled us to fully equip the fitness suite with state of the art Technogym equipment. Washington Millennium Centre Fitness Suite has the Latest Technogym equipment including:
•17 Cardio Machines
•11 Resistance Machines
•Free Weights
•Easyline Circuit
Football Activities
The Spaces for Sport Funding also allowed us to refurbish the old outdoor MUGA, replacing the Floodlights, Fencing and installing the new 3rd Generation surface. Hourly Prices are £20 off peak and £30 peak. Meeting Rooms
The centre has 4 meeting rooms. We have meeting rooms which seat from 10, upto 70 delegates
Honesty Library
Our Library offers everything a person would expect from a modern library including free internet access. Borrow a book, swap a book or donate books. Millie's Magical Garden
