Condensate produced by a compressed air system contains oil and is classified as hazardous waste.

Installing an oil-water separator allows you to treat condensate on site and dispose of it through your wastewater system, keeping you compliant with the Water Resources Act 1991. Failure to comply with this legislation can lead to prosecution and fines of up to £20,000.

Business expansion meant moving to a larger site for our composites customer. Which called for a new compressed air system complete with a significant pipework design and fit.

Replacing a failing compressor can be an opportunity for significant improvement, rather than a simple like-for-like replacement.

Our customer, Counter Production Ltd, upgraded their system with a Champion Elite air station, providing them with a complete compressed air package, including dryer, receiver, filtration and an oil/water separator.

This plug-and-play solution offers a small footprint, low noise, convenience, and simplicity. All this at the same time as delivering a reliable source of clean, dry air -ideal for Counter Production’s precision templating process.

A new year and another compressed air installation from BCAS.

Due to business and premises expansion, our printing customer needed to increase their compressed air supply. With several CompAir L22 RS compressors already successfully in use elsewhere at the site, the customer wanted the new units to be the same.

Variable speed machines are selected by organisations looking for energy efficiency at the same time as reliability and durability. By matching output to demand, regulated-speed technology can cut energy consumption for compressed air production by around 30%, compared with fixed-speed models. CompAir's high-efficiency airend design is also engineered to run at reduced rotational speeds, lowering wear and extending service life.

As part of this particular system, a Hi-Line dryer was fitted, along with over 150m of Prevost pipework.

This is just one of many installations that BCAS carried out in 2025, with our engineers working to meet each customer’s needs and preferences, and always ensuring a robust, efficient and immaculate fixing.
