The evolution of Corten steel

From dark grey steel to a rich, rust-coloured finish, Corten steel is designed to naturally change over time!

As it weathers, warmer orange tones begin to develop, eventually creating the distinctive Corten patina we all recognise.

And it’s not just about the look! 👀 The natural weathering process creates a protective layer, making it a durable and long-lasting choice for outdoor spaces.

Our Alusthetic Corten steel threshold drains bring together practicality and a finish that only gets better with time.

You know that feeling when everything just flows?

That’s exactly what this does.

The Alusthetic threshold drain blends straight into the paving, so instead of seeing drainage… you just see a clean, seamless finish. No bulky grates. No broken lines. Just a smooth transition right up to your doors.

It’s one of those details you might not notice straight away, but you’d definitely notice if it wasn’t done right.

Built to perform. Designed to disappear.
